Division 1 Summary

Colchester A finished in 7th place (out of 9) in NECL Division 1, with three wins, one draw and four losses (two of the losses were on default).

However, Colchester B finished in 1st place - meaning Colchester have won Division 1 for the first time since the 1996/97 season. It is also the first time ever that the league has been won by a B team. In a very close league, Colchester B won four games, drew three and only lost once. This gave them the same number of match points as Writtle but Colchester had one more board point.

Duck chess tournament

Old news now, but just before Xmas the club held it's second duck chess competition (results from the first one can be found here).

Ten players took part, Nathan Barnes won with a score of 5/5. No record was kept of which results were in which round, so each row just lists the results of each player in no particular order.
